Asking for more, nicely
How to ask for more pocket money politely
The story
Wanjiru gets KES 100 a week. Now she buys her own snacks at school, and she thinks she needs more.
The big idea
A good ask has a reason, a number and a plan. “I’d like KES 150 because snacks cost more now, and I’ll save some of it.”
Ask at home
Ask your child what they would say if they wanted more pocket money, and practise it together.
The full lesson, with its questions and Kesho Stars, is in the myKesho kids app.
