No money held

myKesho doesn’t hold or move money, and never asks for card, M‑Pesa or bank details. Families keep their own cash; the app keeps the record. When M‑Pesa and bank links come, they’ll be with a licensed partner and we’ll ask you first.

Parents decide

Children can’t spend on their own. Every use of their money, every goal and every game request needs a parent’s yes.

Children’s information

• We only keep a child’s data with their parent’s consent, given when the child is added.
• Children don’t need an email or a phone number. They sign in with a username and a PIN.
• Each child sees only their own money, goals and asks. Brothers and sisters see just a first name and an avatar.
• Photos and notes a parent adds are for parents only, and never reach a child’s phone.
• No ads, no strangers, no leaderboards, no chat with people outside the family.

Your rights

You can download everything we keep about your family, or delete it all, at any time from Account. Our privacy notice explains the rest, under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019.
