Splitting costs fairly

Share a bill so nobody pays too much

Level 5: Planning ahead · from age 11 · 3 minutes · 3 Kesho Stars

The story

Four friends share a KES 1,600 pizza after a match. Three of them also get a soda at KES 60 each. Musa just has water.

The big idea

Check: 400 + 460 + 460 + 460 = 1,780. When the numbers add back to the bill, the split is right.

Ask at home

Next time you eat out as a family, ask your child to work out each person’s share of the bill.

The full lesson, with its questions and Kesho Stars, is in the myKesho kids app.
