What the Share jar is for
Giving, harambee and helping someone in need
The story
Every payday, Juma puts KES 20 in his Share jar. After four paydays he has KES 80.
The big idea
Harambee means “let’s all pull together”. Everyone gives a little, and together it becomes a lot. Church offerings and school collections work the same way.
Ask at home
Ask your child who they would like to help with their Share jar this month.
The full lesson, with its questions and Kesho Stars, is in the myKesho kids app.
