Cash and phone money
Money you can hold, and money on a phone
The story
Shosho pays for sukuma at the market with coins. Mum pays for electricity with M-PESA on her phone.
The big idea
Cash is money you can hold: coins and notes. Phone money lives in a phone or a bank. You can’t touch it, but it’s still real money.
Ask at home
Ask your child to name one thing your family pays for with cash and one you pay for with a phone.
The full lesson, with its questions and Kesho Stars, is in the myKesho kids app.
