The app won’t load or says you’re offline

What the offline bar means, why changes wait, and what to try when myKesho won’t open.

For parents · Troubleshooting

Steps

  1. 1

If you see Can’t reach myKesho, check your data or Wi‑Fi and tap Try again.

  2. 2

If a bar says You’re offline, you can look at what the app last saw, but changes wait. Reconnect, then make the change.

  3. 3

If it says myKesho is having trouble right now, the problem is ours. Wait a few minutes; it keeps trying.

  4. 4

If you see A new version of myKesho is ready, reload the page.

  5. 5

Still stuck? Close the browser tab or app fully, open mykesho.com/#parent again and sign in.

myKesho keeps a copy of your family on your phone, so it opens on a bad connection and shows what it last saw. Saving a change needs the internet: offline, changes are blocked so nothing looks saved when it isn’t.

If changes don’t save

  • Not saved yet. We’ll keep trying; keep this page open. means a change is waiting. Stay on the page until it goes.
  • If you close the page with changes waiting, your browser asks first.
  • Two parents tapping at once? myKesho puts both changes together. If one no longer makes sense, like an ask already answered, it’s dropped.

On a slow line, install the app to your home screen. It opens faster. See Add myKesho to your home screen.

Questions

Is my family’s information safe when the app won’t load?

Yes. It’s stored on our servers, not only your phone.

It keeps asking for my password.

After an hour away, or after a child signs in on the same phone, the parent app asks again. That’s normal.
