A balance looks wrong
Most surprises have a simple reason. Check the transactions, asks waiting and goals before you fix anything.
Steps
- 1
Open Kids, tap your child’s card and scroll to Transactions. Tap Show all to see the last 20.
- 2
Check Home → Waiting on you for an ask. Money they asked to use is set aside from their Wallet until you answer.
- 3
Look at Jars on their page. The total balance adds Wallet, Save, Share and any Term pocket money.
- 4
Check Goals and Saving together. Money in a goal stays in Save but can’t be taken out.
- 5
Fix a mistake with Add money (to put money back) or Use their money (to take it out).
- 6
Still not right? Tap Send feedback in Account and tell us the child and what you expected.
Common reasons
- Another parent recorded something on their phone.
- A child spent from their own weekly budget, or sent money to a brother or sister.
- A gift is still under Gifts on the way: it isn’t in their jars until you tap I got it.
- Payday hasn’t run yet. See Payday didn’t happen.
- You were offline and a change wasn’t saved. Look for Not saved yet.
You’re keeping at the top of Home is the total for all your kids: the cash you should be holding for them.
Balances are a record: every move is kept, like a bank’s books. Nothing is ever edited. If the myKesho team fixes a mistake for you, it shows as a Correction in the transactions.

Questions
Can I delete a transaction?
No. Make an opposite entry instead with Add money or Use their money, so the record stays honest.
My child says their app shows a different number.
Ask them to close and reopen the app. Both apps update within a few seconds when online.
