My child can’t sign in
Check the address, the username and the PIN, and unlock them if they tried too many times.
Steps
- 1
Check they’re on mykesho.com/#kids, not the parent app. The kids app says Hi! Who’s signing in?.
- 2
Open Kids on your phone, tap their card and check the Username under Kids app. Use the copy button if it’s fiddly to type.
- 3
If the kids app goes straight to a PIN for the wrong child, tap the back arrow and type the right username.
- 4
If they’ve forgotten the PIN, or see Too many wrong tries, tap Reset Amani’s PIN on their page (with your child’s name) and set a new one.
- 5
If they see Your app isn’t set up yet, they have no PIN. If they’re 6 or older, tap Set up Amani’s app on their page.
What the messages mean
- That username isn’t right: no child has that username. Check the spelling, including any dot.
- That username and PIN don’t match: the PIN is wrong. Five wrong tries lock sign-in.
- Too many wrong tries: locked for 15 minutes, then an hour if it happens again. A PIN reset unlocks it now.
- Your app isn’t set up yet: under 6, or no PIN set.
If you changed their username recently, they need the new one.
Signed out of the parent app after your child signed in on the same phone? That’s on purpose. Sign in again with your password.
Questions
It worked yesterday and not today.
Check you’re online. The kids app needs a connection to sign in. If the offline bar shows, try again when you’re back.
Can I sign in to the kids app as my child to check it?
Yes, with their username and PIN. It signs you out of the parent app on that phone.
